Journeyman Exam Prep
IEC of Greater Cincinnati offers a Journeyman Exam Prep course designed to refresh students on the NEC code and help them pass the Kentucky Electrician’s Exam. Students must be a graduate from an accredited electrical training program or have been working in the trade for at least six years to enroll.
The Journeyman Exam Prep course is a six evening course from 5:00 – 9:00 pm.
Students must bring to each class:
- NEC code book
- A calculator
- Note pad
- A pen/pencil and a highlighter

- Conduit fill
Night two:
- Box fill

- Receptacles/lighting
Night three:

- Motors
- Generators
Night four:
- Transformers
- Services
- Hazardous locations
- Health Care Facilities
- Places of Assembly
Night five:
- Practice Journeyman Exam
Night six:
