An IEC Member Contractor, signatory on the CEATC Employer Acceptance Agreement, that dismisses an apprentice for either Layoff or Reduction in Force shall not be permitted to hire another apprentice as long as the dismissed apprentice remains an apprentice in good standing in the apprenticeship program and remains unemployed. A contractor may hire an apprentice at a higher skill level to meet their needs.

Note: If action is Layoff (for any classification of field worker), the employee shall remain on the monthly dues report and the member contractor shall continue paying dues calculated at 120 hours for Training Fund.
