Apprenticeship Opportunities

JOB OPPORTUNITIES
There is widespread need for electrical services and job opportunities are excellent for qualified electricians. Electricians are needed to install and maintain electrical systems in commercial, residential and industrial applications. New technologies continue to stimulate the demand for electricians.

Apprentices receiving hands-on training

IEC Member Company electricians acquire their skills by completing a formal four year apprenticeship program. On-the-job training is supervised by qualified journeypersons. Men and women are trained to professional craftsmanship status.

When you participate in apprenticeship, you literally earn while you learn! You are also eligible for the excellent employee benefits offered by IEC Member Contractors. As apprentices develop job skills and improve their knowledge of the trade, they receive scheduled wage increases.

Apprenticeship involves an agreement between you, the Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training, and IEC. This agreement establishes high quality on-the-job and classroom training.
